Coronavirus Precautions When Ordering Food

As we are currently living in lockdown, eating out is no longer an option. For that reason, most have us have resorted to ordering food delivered to our houses. However, food delivery has proven to be as dangerous as eating out if certain precautions weren't taken.

Many people have recently caught the coronavirus despite staying home for more than two months straight. It was discovered that the virus was transferred through food and groceries ordered
In order to avoid the same happening and to make the lockdown as effective as possible, there are certain procedures to be followed when getting food delivered to your house.

1. Cover up
Make sure you cover-up well by wearing gloves and a face mask

2. Social distance
Make sure you leave an arms-length distance (that is the least) between you and the delivery guy

3. Money Precautions
If there is any extra money given to you by the delivery guys, make sure you spray it with alcohol spray (containing at least 75% pure alcohol) from the front and the back then leave it in a sunny place (for example next to a window) to dry out completely before using it

4. Bags & Packages Containing Food
Upon unpacking the food using your gloves, make sure you instantly throw away all the bags and packages containing the food you have ordered and place food ordered in your own plates or bowls.

5. Before Dealing With The Food
Throw away your gloves and face mask then wash your hands with soap for at least 20-30 seconds

6. The Food
Before eating, make sure you heat up your food in the oven to get rid of any bacteria or viruses that have reached the food.

6. Washing up
After placing the food in the oven, make sure to wash your hands again for 20-30 seconds.

By following these precautions, you can minimize your chance of getting the virus through any delivery while staying at home in the lockdown.
